Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe
Wind Direction: SW THEN WSW
Wind Stength: V windy then light !!!
Surf / Sea State: rough
Air Temperature: 18
Sea Temperature: 17
Weather: sunny periods
Max Speed: 23.7 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 3.60 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

After missing yesterday afternoons good session I was at the dip at 4.30 and a couple of windsurfers were out at the ferry break but not going brilliant close in because of the wind shadow with 4.7.As my 4.7 is being repaired I dug out an old Airwaves 2 cam 5m slalom sail to give that a try. After floundering off in the big break and light winds at the beach hit the wind 50m out unfortunately there was never enough so after 1/2 doz runs, one jump, three successful gybes and a brief spell of wave riding I gave up !!! and joined the doz. or so wave heads on the beach(I have never scene so many wavesailers at Felixstowe)I rigged 5.6 and waited awhile for the wind to pick up and have a moan then packed up !!! The highlght of the night was a lone kiter who launched somewhere at the Fludgers or beyond and did a downwinder to the ferry with some pretty erratic kite flying as he seemed a litte underpowered !!!!

ps.good newa my gps seems to have dried out and is working again !!!
